Shanghai (ZXZC)- The Tiggo 3xe 400 and the eQ1 300, two EV models of Chery Auto, went on sale in Shanghai on May 27, with official suggested prices ranging from RMB 157,800 to RMB 170,800 (the Tiggo 3xe) and RMB 119,900 (the eQ1 300) respectively. After the deduction of subsidiaries, the prices of the Tiggo 3xe 400 and the eQ1 300 will decrease to a range from RMB 89,800 to RMB 102,800 and RMB 63,800.

The Tiggo 3xe 400 carries an electric motor with a maximum power output and torque of 90kW and 276Nm, which is produced by the joint venture between Chery Auto and Yaskawa Electric Corporation, a Japanese manufacturer of servos, motion controllers, AC motor drives. In addition, the Tiggo 3xe 400 features a 49kwh ternary-lithium battery pack from CATL, which performs an energy density of 125wh/kg, a combined range of 351km and power consumption of 13kw per 100km. When the vehicle keeps running at a speed of 60km, the battery will hold a range up to 445km.

The eQ1 300 has a combined range of 251km, 100km more than that of the existing models. Besides, the new model is outfitted with a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM), which could output a maximum power and torque of 30kW and 120Nm and achieve a peak driving speed of no less than 100km/h. Under the slow-charging mode, the battery will be fully charged from zero within 6 hours, while it only takes 30 minutes to fulfill the battery capacity from 30% to 80% when the fast-charging mode is used.

The automaker has received over 10 thousand orders of the Tiggo 3xe 400 within two months since it hit the market. It is noteworthy that the buyers include some vehicle rental companies like Global Car Sharing & Rental Co.,Ltd, which have already operated 3000 units of Tiggo 3xe in total across Shanghai, according to Fang Yang, vice general manager of Chery New Energy Automobile Sales Company (Chery New Energy). Meanwhile, Chery New Energy has currently set up over 250 terminal sales stores and 500 service outlets countrywide.
