Shanghai (ZXZC)- On May 23 local time, BYD celebrated the grand opening of its 100th dealership in the Brazilian market, according to a post on one of its official WeChat accounts.

This new store is located in the prime area of downtown Florianópolis, adjacent to the city's famous seaside avenue.

The celebration was jointly hosted by BYD and the Brazilian DVA dealership group. As the leading sales force for BYD in southern Brazil, DVA Group has provided strong support for BYD's extensive expansion across the country.

Tyler Li, president of BYD in Brazil, stated, "The opening of BYD's 100th store in Brazil marks a significant milestone in our solid growth trajectory here and reflects the Brazilian market's embrace of an electric future. BYD is committed to leading green mobility in Brazil, driving industry trends with exceptional quality and technological innovation. We firmly believe in the boundless potential of the Brazilian market and will continue to expand our dealership network, advancing the transformation toward green mobility in Brazil."

This store is BYD's third outlet in Santa Catarina state. Paulo Toniolo Jr., Chairman of DVA Group, commented, "Since partnering with BYD in 2022, DVA has been proud to walk this path together. We plan to add six more stores this year, increasing BYD's presence in Santa Catarina to nine stores, bringing us closer to more consumers and deepening the local reach of the BYD brand."

Looking ahead, BYD plans to increase the number of dealerships in Brazil to 250 by 2024. Currently, BYD's sales network in Brazil includes 39 dealership groups, 100 operating stores, and 135 designated service points. BYD has consistently focused on implementing comprehensive sustainable transportation solutions to address pollution and congestion in Brazilian cities. In July 2023, BYD announced the establishment of a large manufacturing complex comprising three factories in the city of Camaçari, leveraging the full industrial chain to actively promote the local transition to electrification and green transportation.
