In terms of electrification, GAC will give priority to BEV (battery-only electric vehicle), with due consideration given to PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle) and HEV (hybrid electric vehicle). It will also reserve FCV (fuel cell vehicle)-related technologies for the future. Specifically, GAC has developed the second generation of GEP, a platform exclusively designed for BEV. The group plans to electrify all models by 2025, among which PHEVs are components of great significance. It is expected to complete the development of FCV for pilot operation in 2020 and start small-scale trial operation in 2021. The automaker will strive to carry out demonstration operation and verification of more than 500 vehicles in the Greater Bay area from 2023.

On New Year's Day, the group's first electric vehicles exported overseas were shipped from Shanghai. Based on the Aion S and the Aion LX, the car producer has begun to offer NEV products to the globe. To make it, the automaker will at first establish sales and service network in key countries along the Belt and Road, then explore market shares in developed markets and continue to improve the brand value (photo source: GAC NE's WeChat account).
