GAC NIO's HYCAN 007 seen in six body colors
Shanghai (ZXZC)- HYCAN, the NEV brand co-founded by GAC Group and NIO, unveiled on March 25 the six body colors of its first production model HYCAN 007.
These colors are named poetically-- “mint” green, “morning sun” white, “rosy clouds” red, “moon” silvery, “polar night” black, and “fog” grey. The first one has been most seen by the public so far.
Let's enjoy the vehicle painted with the beautiful colors.
GAC NIO, the company behind HYCAN, launched the HYCAN 007 in last December. The presale kicked off at the same time with prices ranging from RMB260,000 to RMB400,000 for 5 variants. Reportedly, the long-anticipated model will hit the market in April and be handed over to consumers onwards.
The “007” features a closed-off grille that is trendy among BEV models. Unlike the concept unveiled in last May, the mass-produced one carries a cleaner internal grille structure. The daytime running lights are shaped like a pair of symmetrical “7s”.
The motif of the number “7” also appears in many other places, one of reasons naming the car “007”. At a closer glance to a wheel, you will find a “7” located between two blue spokes. Besides, the numerical element is also used in taillights and the interior's center console display.
According to MIIT's catalogue, the battery energy density of the BASE and the PLUS/TOP versions is at 171Wh/kg and 180Wh/kg respectively. Thanks to the “three in one” electric motor, the BASE and the PLUS/TOP averagely consume 15.9kWh and 16.7kWh of electricity per 100km.
More than that, the automaker has disclosed some key parameters in early January. Powered by a 73kWh battery pack, the BASE has a NEDC-rated range of 523km and can sprint from 0-100km/h in 8.2 seconds. It can be charged from 30% to 80% of its battery capacity in 33 minutes using a fast-charging mode and in 6.2 hours under a slow-charging mode.
The PLUS and the TOP feature a large of portion of power performances in common. Both of them carry a 93kWh battery pack, which offers the vehicle a NEDC-rated range of up to 643km. Besides, they do 0-100km/h acceleration in 7.9 seconds, and from 30% to 80% of battery capacity can be charged within 7.9 second using fast-charging mode.
The three versions are all outfitted with CATL's NCM811 battery and the vehicle-to-grid system.
Engineered to be a human friendly full-electric SUV, the “007” features quite a few smart technologies, such as the Level 2 plus intelligent driving functions, the smart voice assistant dubbed “Little CAN”, the “flying shuttle” display composed of two 12.3-inch screens and a 10.1-inch screen, the UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) system and the vital sign monitoring device (photo source: HYCAN).
