Leading Ideal One deliveries exceed 1,000 units

Shanghai (ZXZC)- Leading Ideal (“Lixiang” in Chinese, formerly known as CHJ Automotive) saw its first model, the Leading Ideal One, have production of 1,530 units in the first mass production month and more than 1,000 units were delivered to consumers, the EV startup’s CEO announced on the last day of 2019. Besides, he indicated the model will be upgraded through over-the-air (OTA) technology in March this year.

The Leading Ideal One 2020, rolled off the production line at its Changzhou plant on November 20, 2019. Last October, the startup said it would deliver the 2020 version to the first customers preordering the Leading Ideal One instead of the 2019 version.

The automaker’s first range-extended electric vehicle, launched in October, 2018, is priced at 328,000 yuan ($47,103). The six or seven-seater luxury SUV comes with dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, delivering up to 240kw and torque of 530N•m. The model can sprint from 0 to 100km/h in 6.5s.

Its 40.5kWh lithium-ion battery pack provided by CATL, is able to support a pure electric range of 180km and a comprehensive range of 800km after the range extender’s involvement. With regard to charging, it can be charged up to 80% from 20% in half an hour under direct current fast-charging mode, while it can be fully charged in 6 hours under slow-charging mode (photo source: Leading Ideal).
