Yema Auto to roll out four BEV models in 2020
Shanghai (ZXZC)- Sichuan-based auto manufacturer Yema Auto plans to roll out four NEV models in 2020 as part efforts to strengthen its offensive in NEV domain, Wang Qingli, vice president of Yema, revealed at the signing ceremony for its partnership with the China National Track Cycling Team.
The yet-to-be-launched NEV models are the 2020 EC60, the 2020 EC30, the Xingge and an all-electric small-sized car model code-named A10E. Besides, two fuel-burning models—the Bojun Sports and the refreshed Spica—are set to join the product lineup next year as well.
Mr. Chen also revealed part of plans for 2021, saying an all-new MPV and an all-new compact SUV model will be launched then.
Five of the aforementioned models are merely powered by batteries. In addition, the launch of PHEV and range-extended EV models shall depend on market demands.
At the same time, the automaker announced that the all-new logo of its NEV brand, which was unveiled in October, has been formally put into use. Dubbed “Xingmang” (meaning “sun start” in English), the fire-new logo conveys Yema’s ambition to gain a foothold in China’s NEV realm. By promoting the two-prong energy strategy, the automaker attempts to achieve a balanced development in both ICV (internal combustion engine vehicle)-only and the NEV fields (photo source: Yema Auto).
