Shanghai (ZXZC)- On December 23, Startup Enovate, previously known as Dearcc, agreed a strategic cooperation with UNIEV, an online platform service provider to China's EV industry, for NEV charging business, according to a post on UNIEV's WeChat account.

Under the agreement, both parties will make joint efforts to develop the apps and platforms focusing on EV charging and the plug-and-play charging solutions, and jointly manage firm's accounts, so as to diversify charging methods for users.

The EV manufacturer kicked off the presale of its first mass-produced model, the ME7 BEV, in April at the Auto Shanghai 2019. The vehicle is scheduled to roll off the production line at Shaoxing plant on December 28, and officially hit the market next year. Clearly, a sound charging development is indispensable to salving users' anxiety over range and charging, which is vital to future sales growth and consumer loyalty.

Evonate said it is promoting the integration of its charging service system by leveraging resources of car operators and dealers nationwide, and developing cloud platforms for EV charging services, which would be connected with UNIEV charging facilities.

The cooperation will enable car owners of the ME7 to enjoy three-year free charging service thanks to UNIEV's powerful public charging capability, forming a closed loop linking public charging service, EV manufacturers and users, according to UNIEV.

UNIEV was co-funded by State Grid, China Southern Power Grid, TELD and Star Charge, according to the company's self-introduction. Apart from the four investors, it has signed up over 110 charging business operators by December, 2019, and has been given access to over 43,000 public charging poles countrywide.
