Xpeng delivers 11,145 cars in Jul, up 4.47% from Jun
This is the fifth consecutive month of sequential growth in monthly deliveries for Xpeng, but still well below the more than 20,000 monthly deliveries seen at the end of last year.
Xpeng (NYSE: XPEV) continued to see an increase in deliveries last month, although they were still well below the levels seen at the end of last year.
The electric vehicle (EV) maker delivered 11,145 vehicles in July, up 1.24 percent year-on-year and up 4.47 percent from June, according to data released today.
This was the fifth consecutive sequential increase in Xpeng's monthly deliveries, but still only about half of the more than 20,000 monthly deliveries in the fourth quarter of last year.
The Xpeng X9 MPV (multi-purpose vehicle) delivered 1,459 units in July, a decrease of 13.52 percent from 1,687 units in June, contributing to 13.09 percent of Xpeng's deliveries last month.
Cumulative deliveries of the MPV model since its launch in January this year reached 14,602 units, contributing 23.11 percent of Xpeng's deliveries for the year.
The X9, launched on January 1, is the flagship model under Xpeng's SEPA (Smart Electric Platform Architecture) 2.0 architecture.
With a starting price of RMB 359,800 ($49,800), the 7-seater MPV is Xpeng's most expensive to date.
So far this year, Xpeng has delivered 63,173 vehicles, up 20.46 percent year-on-year.
By the end of July, Xpeng had delivered 463,484 vehicles since its inception, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
