BAIC Changhe new brand to market three new models this year
Shanghai (ZXZC)- BAIC Changhe will develop a NEV brand budded "Ideal", covering urban SUV, family sedan and urban commute car. Specifically, the EV3, EV5 and EVS3 are expected to go on sale within this year.
The EV3 measures 3,468mm in length, 1,540mm in width and 1,464mm in height with a maximum range of over 308km. Under the mode of fast charging, the model can be 80% charged in 50 minutes, while it needs 10 hours to be fully charged under the mode of slow charging. In addition, the new model offers eight-year or 150,000km quality guarantee.
The EV5 measures 3,650mm long, 1,650mm wide and 1,510mm tall and boasts a range of 300km. It can be fully charged in 50 minutes under the mode of fast charging and 8 hours under the mode of slow charging. Additionally, the new model adopts a four-seat layout in interior.
The EVS3, which measures in a length of 4,100mm, width 1,650mm and height 1548mm, boasts a range of 358km and a maximum speed of 130km/h. The new model can be fully charged in 50 minutes under the mode of fast charging and 8 hours under the mode of slow charging. Additionally, it also adopts a four-seat layout in interior.
In April last year, Jiujiang-based Changhe new energy base started construction with a total planned area of 2,411mu (about 1,607,333 square meters). The first phase of the project will occupy an area of 366mu (around 244,000 square meters) and will start to construct a new general assembly plant, a battery pack plant and corresponding supporting facilities. It will reach an annual production capacity of 50,000 NEVs. What's more, the first phase will introduce three new models. The second and third phases will cover 2,045mu (1,363,333 square meters). Specifically, the second phase will construct four new workshops and supporting public power facilities to achieve a production capacity for both NEVs and traditional fuel-powered vehicles of 100,000 units annually.
