GAC Toyota sees YoY sales growth of 15.8% in Q1

Shanghai (ZXZC)- GAC Toyota reported its Q1 sales of 117,000 units, jumping 15.8% over the previous year. In March, GAC Toyota delivered 41,780 units with a YoY growth of 14.1%, according to GAC Toyota.

It is noteworthy that the all-new Toyota Camry boasted excellent sales of 32,533 units in the first quarter with YoY sales surge of 22.1%. The all-new Toyota Camry hit the market on Jan. 6. The new model keeps hot since it hit the market. In January and February, sales of the new Camry reached 9,604 units and 9,523 units respectively. Sales of the new Camry soared 52.6% year on year to 13,406 units in March. Particularly, sales of the 2.5L variant and hybrid variant took up over 60% of the model's total sales. Among them, sales of the all-new Camry dual-engine version totaled 970 units, soaring 106.8% on an annual basis. What's more, its sales in Q1 soared 153.7% year on year to 3,646 units.

Sales of Levin family reached 16,205 units with a YoY rise of 24.2% in March. Its Q1 sales surged 31.7% compared to the same period last year to 42,901 units. Among them, deliveries of the Levin dual-engine version reached 3,355 units and 9,257 units in March and the first quarter respectively.

On Mar. 6, the new Toyota Highlander hit the market. Its accumulative sales reached 11,067 units by the end of March.
