The Luxeed R7 has a range of up to over 800 kilometers and the battery suppliers are CATL and CALB.

Three of the four Luxeed R7 versions in the filing are single-motor variants, all with 215 kW of peak motor power, and one version has an additional motor with 150 kW of peak power, all from Huawei.

CATL is supplying batteries for three versions of the Luxeed R7, and CALB is the battery supplier for one variant.

Richard Yu, Huawei's managing director and chairman of the smart vehicle solutions business unit, first mentioned the Luxeed R7 in a Weibo post on June 11, saying it will be HIMA's first coupe SUV.

The R comes from Revolution, which stands for breakthrough and disruption, Yu said at the time.

HIMA is one of the many ways Huawei has partnered with car companies, and it's the tech giant's deepest involvement. The model, previously known as Zhixuan, was upgraded in November 2023 to HIMA.

Luxeed, a joint brand between Huawei and Chery, launched the Luxeed S7 sedan on November 28, 2023, the first model under the new brand.

The design of the R7 raises the rear end to deliver the largest interior space among coupe SUVs, Huawei's terminal BG CEO He Gang said on Weibo today.

The model boasts a range of up to more than 800 kilometers for long cross-province journeys on a single charge, he said.
