NIO Capital, G7, GLP co-fund new energy autonomous truck company

Shanghai (ZXZC)- According to official news, G7, Global Logistic Properties (GLP) and Nio Capital jointly announced that three parties will co-fund a new technology company that is controlled by G7, a China's Internet of Things (IoT) technology company.

Focusing on scenarios of highway transport logistics, the new company will work on the R&D of all-new intelligent heavy trucks based on autonomous driving, new energy technologies as well as logistics big data so as to meet, even go beyond consumers' expectation. 

Specifically, the new tech company will make use of G7's deep understanding on logistics industry and plentiful real-time data, GLP's globally open logistics ecosystem and Nio Capital's rich auto industrial resources to research and develop manageable new energy autonomous heavy trucks with high efficiency and high security. Meanwhile, they will explore to build a new management and service system of logistics assets in AI period. 

According to public materials, G7 is China's leading IoT technology company for the logistics sector. Since it was founded in 2010, the company has kept investing in such fields as IoT, big data, AI technologies and intelligent equipment to promote intelligentization, interconnection and sharing on some logistics facilities like trucks and trailer. As China's largest IoT platform, G7's partnerships extend to 50,000 logistics enterprises, connecting with over 600,000 vehicles.
