Former BAIC MOTOR senior executive joins Baoneng Auto as vice president

Shanghai (ZXZC)- According to local media, Cai Jianjun, BAIC MOTOR's former vice president and BAIC MOTOR sales company's former party secretary, executive director and general manager, officially joined Baoneng Auto as vice president and Qoros Auto's executive vice president.

Just in January this year, he was reportedly transferred to BAIC Mobility Co., Ltd during the wave of BAIC Group's large-scale personnel reshuffle.

According to public information, Cai Jianjun joined Changan Auto after he had graduated from college in 1998. During his tenure in Changan Auto, he had owned 17-year experience of sales and marketing. In November 2010, when Changan Auto and PSA Groupe's joint venture (CAPSA) was about to be established, Cai Jianjun joined to take charge of the promotion of the high-end brand DS in China. In 2012, DS officially was sold in China's market. By the end of 2014, CAPSA had already owned over 70 dealerships and achieved a cumulative sales volume of over 35 thousand units. In October 2015, Cai was appointed as BAIC MOTOR's vice president and BAIC MOTOR sales company's party secretary, executive director and general manager who was fully responsible for the marketing of the BAIC MOTOR's self-owned brands.

In December last year, Baoneng Group became one of Qoros Auto's controlling shareholders. After that, the group has already greeted several senior executives who had worked for other famous tech companies and automakers. For instance, Baidu's former vice president Wu Xuebing had been confirmed to join Baoneng Auto in January this year to take charge of the technologies and products’ R&D of the new employer. In February, Li Feng, BAIC Group New Technology Research Institue's former president, officially held the position of Baoneng Auto's executive vice president and Qoros Auto's CEO.
