Shanghai (ZXZC)- WEY, the premium brand under Great Wall Motor, will introduce its first hybrid SUV, dubbed the P8. Recently, the WEY P8 has been spotted during a road test. According to the spy shots, the P8 is unmistakable with a big-mouth honey-comb intake grille and sharp headlights. It will come with a 2.0T engine and two electric motors, boasting a fuel consumption of 2.3L/100km. 

The new model looks aggressive with a large one-piece intake grille. It bears a logo in the middle of its front end. Below the logo, it features a front-facing camera. Besides, it features narrow and long LED headlights with vertical-installed LED daytime running lamps inside. The model looks more fashionable with side waistlines running through its body, luggage rack on the roof and multi-spoke wheel hubs.

The P8 also features a neat-designed rear end style. With sooty LED tail lights on both sides, the premium SUV delivers a higher recognition. The model looks very sporty and dynamic with sloping rear windshields, a large spoiler, a sharp front bumper style and two exhaust pipes on both sides decorated with chrome trims.

In terms of the interior, the model adopts black and beige colors on the center console and seats, demonstrating a strong multilayered sense. Additionally, the model offers a well-equipped cabin with a range of cutting-edge amenities, such as a floating LCD display and a leather three-spoke flat multi-functional steering wheel with a full LCD instrument panel.

Powered by plug-in hybrid powertrains which features a 2.0T turbocharged engine and two electric motors, mated with six-speed dual-clutch transmission, the WEY P8 can deliver a combined maximum power output of 250kW and a combined peak torque of 524Nm. According to the data from GWM, the new model will have a range of 50km under pure electric driving mode. It boasts a fuel consumption of 2.3L/100km. What's more, the P8 can be fully charged in 4 hours.
