Borgward’s first pure electric SUV hits market
Shanghai (ZXZC)- Offering two variants, the Borgward BXi7 hit the market on May 9. The prices of the two variants are RMB 358,800 and RMB 378,800 respectively, which are RMB 285,000 and RMB 305,000 after the subsidies.
Reckoned as first mass-produced 4WD electric SUV delivered in China, the new model boasts a maximum range of 375km and can sprint from 0-100km/h in 7.9 seconds.
Based on Borgward's e-Propulsion, the new model boasts a maximum power output of 180kW and a peak torque of 390Nm. Besides, the model can run up to 195km in one hour.
Inheriting heavily the appearance design of its concept model, the Borgward BXi7 only features trivial adjustments in some details. It features a blue octagonal intake grille mated with LED headlights, demonstrating its NEV identity strongly. In addition, the model's headlights adopt sooty undertone with adjustments on both sides of the front bumper.
With sharp waistlines on both sides and sporty adornments on the rear bumper, the model looks very dynamic and youthful. It also boasts exquisitely-designed tail lights. With blue trims decorated on its rear end, the model's NEV identity is further enhanced.
The new model retains the interior design style as that of the gasoline-powered model. With adjustments in instrument style, the model enhances its NEV identity with abundant blue trims.
