Dongfeng Nissan to release first pure electric vehicle model in April

Shanghai (ZXZC)- Dongfeng Nissan's first pure electric vehicle model strongly resembles the all-new Nissan Sylphy, according to its exposed spy shots. The new pure electric model is likely to be the pure electric version of the Nissan Sylphy. The new model is expected to debut at the 2018 Beijing Motor Show.

Retaining Nissan's V-Motion design language and absorbing the design style of the all-new Nissan LEAF in some details, the model features a double-V-shaped front end and may adopt a closed intake grille. What's more, it looks aggressive and sporty with sharply designed headlights which are connected with the intake grille. Thanks to the linear chrome trims below the intake grille, the model looks much multilayered. Moreover, it is likely to offer LED light inside the headlights.

The new pure electric vehicle model also features an unmistakable outline of tail lights as well as masculine lines of the rear end. Different from the Sylphy, the model is more dynamic with the newly-designed rear spoiler and shark-fin-like antenna on the roof.

In terms of the interior, the model also adopts the similar design style to that of the all-new LEAF. However, it features a newly-styled multifunctional flat-bottom steering wheel and offers an interior with two optional colors. Besides, it boasts leather seats. When it comes to some details, the new pure electric vehicle model retains the all-new Sylphy's embedded center console and multifunctional system.

Taking a reference from the all-new Nissan LEAF, the pure electric vehicle model may come with an electric motor with a maximum power output of 110kW and a peak torque of 320Nm, delivering a comprehensive range of 378km. The capacity of its battery reaches 40kWh. Under a normal charging mode, the all-new LEAF can be fully charged in eight hours, and under a mode of quick charging, it only needs 40 minutes to be get 80% charged.
