Baojun February sales surges 38% YoY

Shanghai (ZXZC)- Baojun, a brand owned by the Sino-German JV SAIC-GM-Wuling, boasted a remarkable year-on-year sales growth of 38% in February to 74,745 vehicles among which the sum sales of the small-sized SUV Baojun 510 and 310 accounted for nearly 70% of total Baojun’s sales. In the first two months, the cumulative sales of this brand reached 167,101 units, surging 36.89% year on year, according to the statistics released by General Motors China.

Specifically, the deliveries of Baojun 510 were up to nearly 32,000 units, ranking first on the sales list of Baojun brand for 11 consecutive months. As a major force driving the sale increase of Baojun, the 510 topped the list by sales in the increasingly competitive SUV segment as well. In addition, over 18,000 units of Baojun 310 were handed over last month, leaping 68% from the previous year.
