NIO joins forces with China's another power grid gaint to deploy battery charging and swapping network
Shanghai (ZXZC)- NIO signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Southern Heshun Electric Vehicle Service Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Heshun), a subsidiary of China Southern Power Grid on Dec. 27. They will establish a long-term and stable strategic partnership in development and operation of battery charging and swapping network.
Based on intelligent technology of mobile Internet and their advantageous resources, NIO and Heshun will jointly build battery charging and swapping facilities with their platforms being interconnected.
Shen Fei, vice president of battery management of NIO stated that cooperation with China's most excellent charging pile provider will not only bring a more convenient battery charging and swapping services through NIO App, but also help fasten NIO's deployment in supercharging network.
Previously, NIO had signed a strategic agreement with State Grid Corporation of China to conduct in-depth cooperation in the building and operation of battery charging and swapping network as well as battery energy storage. The cooperation with China Southern Power Grid marks that NIO connected China's two major power grid operators into NIO Power service system, which will further improve the experience of battery recharging for customers.
At the launching ceremony of the NIO ES8, NIO also released NIO Power service system with a range of battery recharging solutions, aiming to provide better battery recharging experience, which is deemed to be more convenient than refueling.
