Lanzhou Zhidou BEV models approved by MIIT
Shanghai (ZXZC)- On December 4th, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) released Catalogue of Recommended Vehicle Models for the Promotion and Application of New Energy Vehicles (NEV) (11th batch of 2017), which listed 165 vehicle types from 79 auto companies, including 4 models from Lanzhou Zhidou Electric Vehilces (Lanzhou Zhidou).
This was the first time that Lanzhou Zhidou had been listed as an independent company. In March this year, National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) reviewed and approved Lanzhou Zhidou's program of manufacturing 40 thousand all-electric passenger cars annually. In October, MIIT announced that Zhidou was added to auto manufacturer list, one of the only five companies that were approved by MIIT. Till the release of the Catelogue, Lanzhou Zhidou has obtained independent ownership.
Zhidou started to sell products in 2014, and its sales in 2015 reached 25.3 thousand, the highest among self-owned electric vehicle brands. In 2017, the sales of Zhidou from January to October were 37,118. Zhidou sales keep ranking top 10 among self-owned electric vehicle brands.
On November 10th, Zhidou displayed its brand new all-electric vehicle D3. D3 has two power modes, one providing a range of 210 km, and the other providing a range of 310 km.
So far, Zhidou has already launched Zhidou D1, D2 (including D2S) and D3. To develop more products, ZHidou will launch Z-series vehicles to tap into high-end market, and entry-level A-series vehicles. It's noticeable that Z-series will feature self-driving technologies.
