MG to release 4 new models in 2018

Shanghai (ZXZC)- MG plans to launch a total of 4 all-new models and refreshed models in China this year, according to relevant reports.

The automaker will promote MG6 with an upgrading configuration after the Spring Festival. The top-of-the-line version carries an advanced driver assistance system which further improves driving safety.

Besides, MG6 plug-in hybrid version will also go on sales after the Spring Festival. SAIC, MG's parent company, had unveiled a high-performance plug-in hybrid version of MG6 at 2017 Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition. The vehicle uses “Green Core” and “Blue Core” plug-in hybrid technology. The hybrid power system may consist of a 1.0 turbocharged engine delivering a maximum output power of 125hp and an electric motor generating an output of up to 80hp. Its combined fuel consumption is declared as 1.5L/100km. 

In addition, MG will launch an all-new compact SUV and a pure electric version of MG ZS. Up to now, there is little information about the all-new compact SUV. As to MG ZS pure electric version, the new vehicle abandons the traditional shift lever design and uses knob shift mechanism with the equipment of electronic handbrake, according to the spy photos released before.
