The G6 delivered 8,132 units in September, contributing 53.12 percent of Xpeng's monthly deliveries.

The current significant expansion of Xpeng's G6 production capacity has accelerated deliveries of the model, Xpeng said.

Xpeng delivered 40,008 vehicles in the third quarter, the second highest on record and within the guidance range of 39,000 to 41,000 units. Deliveries for the quarter were up 35.3 percent year-on-year and 72.41 percent from the second quarter.

Since inception, Xpeng's cumulative deliveries stand at 340,153 units, according to data monitored by CnEVPost.

Following its debut at IAA Mobility 2023 in early September, Xpeng has begun to accelerate its international expansion.

At the end of September, Xpeng launched the first customer deliveries of the Xiaopeng G9 in four European countries -- Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands and Denmark, it said today.

Xpeng launched the new SUV G6 in China on June 29, offering competitive pricing as well as strong specifications.

The model faced the challenge of a slow capacity ramp-up in its initial availability, with initial wait times of more than 10 weeks. Most of the G6's versions now have wait times of 7-8 weeks, CnEVPost's latest check shows.

On September 19, Xpeng launched an upgraded version of its flagship SUV, the G9, and allowed the price to be reduced significantly from the previously on-sale version.

The 2024 G9 received more than 8,000 firm orders within 72 hours of its launch, and deliveries of the model began on September 21, Xpeng said on September 23.

Xpeng launched the 2024 P5 on September 25, removing the LiDAR option. Its other sedan is the flagship P7, whose facelifted P7i was launched in March this year.

Xpeng is offering just two options for the new P5 -- the Xpeng P5 500 Plus and the Xpeng P5 500 Pro -- making the model the least optioned in the company's history.
