Li Auto reaches 500,000th delivery milestone
As of today, Li Auto's cumulative deliveries so far this month stand at 34,501 units.
Li Auto currently sells the five-seat Li L7, as well as the six-seat Li L8 and Li L9, which are all extended-range electric vehicles (EREVs), essentially plug-in hybrids, while Nio and Xpeng currently sell models that are all battery electric vehicles (BEVs).
Li Auto's 500,000th vehicle delivered was a Li L7, and the milestone comes 46 months after the company delivered its first vehicle at the end of 2019, it said today.
Li Auto's first production vehicle was the Li One, also an EREV, a model that was discontinued last year.
Cumulative deliveries of the Li One exceeded 210,000 units, and cumulative deliveries of the Li L9 have exceeded 100,000 units, Li Auto said on September 25.
The Li L9 was released on June 21, 2022, and is the first model in the company's L-series. The Li L8 and Li L7 were released on September 30, 2022 and February 8, 2023, respectively.
Looking ahead to the fourth quarter, Li Auto will challenge the 40,000-unit monthly delivery target with its L-series models, the company said on Monday.
Li Auto's vehicles are currently built at its plant in Changzhou, Jiangsu province, and its first BEV model, the Li Mega, will be built at a new plant in Beijing.
The Li Mega will be officially launched in December, show cars will be available in stores next January and deliveries will begin in February, Li Auto announced on the first day of Chengdu auto show on August 25.
