Zeekr began accepting pre-orders for the Zeekr 001 FR on September 1, with its price tag not released, though it's expected to exceed 1 million yuan.

A slew of new models have made their way into a regulatory catalog in China, including Zeekr's Zeekr 001 FR (Future Road) electric supercar, which was officially announced by Zeekr earlier this month, allowing key specification information about those models to be revealed.

Zeekr was formally established as a separate company in March 2021, the Zeekr 001 was launched on April 17, 2021 and deliveries began in October 2021.

There are currently four options for the regular version of the Zeekr 001, two of which start at RMB 269,000 ($36,910) and the other two at RMB 319,000 and RMB 349,000 respectively.

Only one version of the regular Zeekr 001 comes with a single motor that accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds, while the other three have dual motors that can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds.

On September 1, Zeekr officially unveiled the Zeekr 001 FR, saying the model delivers up to 1,265 horsepower and can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.07 seconds.

For comparison, Tesla's fastest model, the Model S Plaid, has 1,020 horsepower and can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.1 seconds.

Zeekr began accepting customer pre-orders for the Zeekr 001 FR on September 1, although pricing has not yet been announced. When the company previewed the model on August 10, it said the Zeekr 001 FR would be priced at more than RMB 1 million.

Deliveries of the Zeekr 001 FR will begin in October 2023, with a limited production run of 99 units per month, Zeekr said on September 1.
