Nio reaches 1,700 swap stations in China
Nio has added 395 new battery swap stations in China so far this year, and it aims to add a total of 1,000 this year.

Nio (NYSE: NIO) today put 4 new battery swap stations into operation, bringing the total number of such facilities in China to 1,700.
Two of the four new battery swap stations are located in highway service areas, bringing the number of such stations along highways to 468.
Nio originally planned to add 400 battery swap stations in 2023, but that target was revised upward on February 21 to 1,000 stations.
The company aims to have 2,300 battery swap stations in China by the end of 2023. It exited 2022 with 1,305 stations.
That means Nio has added 395 battery swap stations in China so far this year.
To date, Nio's battery swap stations have cumulatively provided more than 27.5 million battery swap services, averaging about 60,000 services per day, according to the company.
In addition to the 1,700 battery swap stations, Nio has 1,629 supercharging stations providing 7,894 charging piles and 1,355 destination charging stations providing 9,750 charging piles in China.
Among major cities, Nio has the most battery swap stations in Shanghai, where its global headquarters is located, with 123.
The company also has 139 supercharging stations in Shanghai, including 605 charging piles, and 88 destination charging stations offering 1,081 charging piles.
Nio has 90 battery swap stations in Beijing, 68 superchargers with 282 charging piles, and 54 destination chargers with 592 charging piles.
It has 46 battery swap stations in Guangzhou, 27 supercharging stations providing 138 charging piles, and 33 destination charging stations providing 325 piles.
It has 46 battery swap stations in Shenzhen, 25 supercharging stations offering 156 charging piles and 47 destination charging stations with 620 piles.
In Europe, Nio currently has 25 battery swap stations and 10 supercharging stations.
