Li Auto (NASDAQ: LI) delivered a record 34,134 vehicles in July, marking the second consecutive month above the 30,000 mark, according to data it released today.

That's up 227.52 percent from a year ago and up 4.79 percent from June.

At the end of July, Li Auto's cumulative deliveries since its inception stood at 430,585, data monitored by CnEVPost showed.

"As a preferred premium automotive brand for Chinese families, we successfully delivered our 400,000th vehicle in July, becoming the first emerging NEV manufacturer in China to achieve this milestone," said Li Xiang, founder, chairman and CEO of Li Auto.

Since their successive launches began in June 2022, Li Auto has delivered more than 200,000 cumulative units of its L-series models, according to the company.

"Specifically, we delivered over 50,000 Li L7s, our five-seat flagship family SUV, within five months of delivery commencement, while increasing monthly deliveries of our two six-seat SUVs, Li L9 and Li L8, from about 12,000 in March this year to around 20,000 in July," Li said.

As of July 31, 2023, the company had 337 retail stores in 128 cities and 323 repair centers and Li Auto authorized body and paint stores in 222 cities.

Li Auto is facing capacity bottlenecks in its delivery growth, with the company's weekly vehicle insurance registrations at just under 8,000 units per week in July.

Earlier today, the company posted figures on Weibo showing it sold 7,900 units in the week of July 24 to July 30, slightly higher than the 7,800 it sold in the previous week.

Retweeting Li Auto's Weibo, Mr. Li said that capacity is the only bottleneck the company is facing at the moment and that this can't be unsolved in the current quarter.
