SAIC Maxus’s 200,000th vehicle to roll off production line on Feb. 2
Shanghai (ZXZC)- SAIC Maxus will reportedly see its 200,000th vehicle rolling off the production line at its factory in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province on Feb. 2. The D90, SAIC Maxus's first full-size intelligent bespoke internet SUV, will be driven off the production line by its car owner.
The D90 was launched in August last year. Positioned as a medium-and-large SUV model, the new model offers six variants at a price range between RMB 156,700 and RMB 263,800. What's worth mentioning, the D90 adopts C2B customized innovation system in a large scale for the first time, offering various customized configurations to meet customers' different demands.
The D90 features an ACC system, 360 degree panoramic visual auxiliary system and a 12.3-inch high-definition touch center console. Powered by a 2.0L turbocharged engine, paired with Punch's six-speed automated manual transmission or a six-speed manual transmission, the model delivers a maximum power output of 165kW and a peak torque of 360Nm.
Founded in 2011, SAIC Maxus boasts a strong product lineup, including MPVs, SUVs, recreational vehicles and pickups. Now SAIC Maxus owns three manufacturing bases, namely in Wuxi, Nanjing and Liyang. Among them, the Wuxi base mainly produces models under SAIC Maxus brand. By the end of 2017, SAIC Maxus's Wuxi base produced 71,569 vehicles. By 2020, the Wuxi base will have an annual production capacity of 200,000 units.
