Shanghai (ZXZC)- On Thursday, Honda China announced its annual sales result in China. In 2017, Honda delivered a record-high sales volume of 1,441,307 vehicles in China, growing 15.5 percent compared with the previous year.

Both of Honda’s two joint ventures in China set new sales record in 2017. GAC Honda’s delivery reached 714,282 units last year, up 9.6 percent year on year. The other joint venture, Dongfeng Honda, sold 727,025 vehicles in 2017, jumping 22 percent from the previous year.

In December, 2017, Honda and its joint venture in China delivered 141,195 vehicles, growing 6.2 percent year on year and setting the best monthly sales record. The respective sales of GAC Honda and Dongfeng Honda in December were 64,834 units and 76,361 units.

Acura, the luxury auto marque under Honda, doubled its delivery in China to 16,348 units. Its December sales increased 18.2 percent to 2,246 units. Among all Acura models, CDX accounted for nearly 94 percent of the total sales.
