Tesla adds 30 Supercharger stations, 13 stores in Chinese mainland in Nov

Tesla expects to add Supercharger stations in 36 Chinese cities and stores in 15 cities in December.

Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) added 30 Supercharger stations containing 125 Superchargers in the Chinese mainland in November, according to a post on the company's official WeChat account today.

The company also added seven new destination charging stations in the Chinese mainland in November, including 24 charging piles.

These new facilities are located in 25 cities, including Beijing, Hangzhou, Xi'an, Ningbo, Shanghai and Dalian, and most of them are V3 Superchargers.

Tesla expects to add Superchargers in 36 cities in December, including Shanghai, Nanjing, Wuhan, Tianjin, Beijing, and Shenzhen.

To date, Tesla has opened a cumulative total of more than 1,400 Supercharger stations in the Chinese mainland, including more than 9,700 Superchargers, the company said.

Tesla also has more than 700 destination charging stations in the Chinese mainland, including more than 1,900 charging piles.

In addition to that, Tesla added 13 new stores in the Chinese mainland in November, located in 10 cities including Shanghai, Hangzhou, Shaoxing, Nantong and Changzhou, according to information it announced on December 9.

Tesla expects to add stores in 15 cities in December, including Shanghai, Beijing, Tianjin, Shenzhen, Chengdu and Guangzhou.

The electric vehicle (EV) maker has a factory in Shanghai that produces the Model 3 sedan as well as the Model Y crossover.

Tesla sold 100,291 China-made vehicles in November, a new single-month high. That includes 37,798 vehicles exported and 62,493 vehicles delivered in China, according to data released earlier this month by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).

It sold 52,424 Model Ys and 10,069 Model 3s in China in November, putting the Model Y at No. 1 on the list of high-end SUV sales with a starting price above 300,000 yuan ($43,170) in China in November, according to the CPCA's list released on December 9.
