Nio delivers 6,131 vehicles in Feb, up 9.9% year-on-year

Nio suspended production at the Nio-JAC plant during the Chinese New Year holiday from January 31 to February 1 and adjusted the production line to prepare for the delivery of ET7 in March.

Nio delivered 6,131 vehicles in February, up 9.9 percent from a year earlier, but down 36.5 percent from 9,652 vehicles in January, figures released today by the company showed.

January 31 to February 6 is the Chinese New Year holiday, which is also usually a slow season for car sales.

Nio suspended production at the Nio-JAC plant during this period and adjusted the production line to prepare for the delivery of its flagship sedan ET7 in March, according to the company.

Nio previously said that the ET7 will be available for test drives starting March 5, production will be scheduled in the order of intentional deposit payment starting March 11, and the first delivery will begin on March 28.

Nio delivered 1,084 ES8s, 3,309 ES6s, and 1,738 EC6s in February.

As of February 28, Nio's cumulative deliveries stood at 182,853 units.

Nio said yesterday that it has applied to list its already issued Class A ordinary shares in Hong Kong by way of introduction. The move does not involve any new issuance of shares.

The shares will be listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange for a secondary listing and they are expected to commence trading on Thursday, March 10, 2022, subject to final approval.

Nio will be traded on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in board lots of 10 Class A ordinary shares under the stock code 9866.
