Shanghai (ZXZC)-SAIC Group announced its September sales on Oct. 10. The sales volume of SAIC Group reached 665,000 units in September with an increase of 15.78% year on year, and an increase of 26.32% month on month. It is the third month for SAIC to sold more than 600,000 units, setting a new record high this year. What's more, SAIC's nine affiliated companies also boasted excellent market performance in September. The total sales volume of SAIC Group achieved 4,821,400 units, increasing 7.57% compared with the same period last year.

In terms of JV Companies, SAIC-VW exceeded SAIC-GM with total sales volume of 219,000 units, increasing 22.39% year on year, and 43.92% month on month. Moreover, it also breaks the record of 214,000 units in January. In the previous three quarters, the cumulative sales volume of SAIC-VW up to 1,473,000 units with a year on year increase of 3.13%, ranking second among SAIC Group's affiliated companies. Thanks to the best-selling models, like Polo family models, the all-new Lavida and the Tiguan, SAIC-VW performed quite well in September.

Sales of SGMW in September reached 191,000 units with a year-on-year increase of 8.82% and a month-on-month increase of 23.34%. The cumulative sales of SGMW in the previous three quarters achieved 1,488,400 units, taking the first place in SIAC Group.

SAIC-GM increased 7.88% year on year and 13.24% month on month to 187,000 units in September, also breaking its monthly sales record this year. The cumulative sales during January and September reached 1,362,000 units, ranking third in SAIC Group.

SAIC Motor Passenger Vehicle soared 41.65% year on year and 23.02% month on month to more than 50,000 units in September. It also boasted a record high. During last three quarters, its cumulative sales volume surged 88% to 361,400 units, enabling SAIC Motor Passenger Vehicle to be one of domestic brands with fastest growths. On Sept. 27, SAIC Motor Passenger Vehicle has completed construction of the third plant in Zhengzhou, and the new plant started put into production. The new plant scheduled to manufacture 360,000 to 400,000 cars annually will greatly ease SAIC Motor Passenger Vehicle's anxiety for its sales boom.
