China has 558,000 public charging stations, most in the world
By the end of June 2020, China had a total of 558,000 public charging stations, ranking first in the world, according to data released today by the National Energy Administration.
Taking into account of private ones, China has a total of 1,322,000 charging stations.
In recent years, China's public charging infrastructure ownership has continued to grow at a high rate.
At the end of 2015, China's public charging infrastructure holdings were only 57,792 units, and by 2019 the number has reached 516,396 units.
According to the data of China Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Promotion Alliance, as of June 2020, members of the alliance have reported a total of 558,000 public charging stations.
Among them, the number of AC charging stations is 324,000 units, the number of DC charging stations is 234,000 units, AC and DC integrated charging stations are 488 units.
From July 2019 to June 2020, China added an average of about 12,000 public charging stations per month.
