CHERY NEW ENERGY Plant Settled in Hefei

Shanghai, May 22nd, ZXZC - Chery Auto has announced its new energy planning before, namely, gradually building a system with vehicle integration, core technology, and capabilities of developing core components, as well as introducing more and more products to meet the consumers' demands. Recently, IIA learns from Hebei Development And Reform Commission that Chery will spend 3 billion yuan building a new energy plant. The new production line is located in Hechao economic development zone, Huashan industrial park, Hefei, Anhui province, with an annual capacity of up to 100,000 vehicles. The new plant is expected to put into operation in this year.

Chery's new energy plant is located in Hefei, Anhui Province, the total investment of which amounts to 3 billion yuan, and the annual capacity of which is expected to reach 100,000 vehicles. After its construction, the plant will produce Chery pure electric new energy vehicles. In late July 2016, Chery and Hechao economic development zone officially signed for a cooperation, and then in August construction was officially started.  According to the plan, the plant is expected to officially be put into use in June this year. It will play an important role in the auto market of Eastern and Central China.

In April 2017, CHERY NEW NENRGY sold a total of 2,084 vehicles, an increase of 189.8% compared to the previous month, and an increase of 27.8% compared to the previous year. Chery eQ1 was launched at the end of March this year, and the sales of April reached 1,035 vehicles, showing a good market performance. In addition, CHERY NEW ENERGY and China Car Experts(a platform for car rental in Beijing) formed strategic cooperation on "Internet + time-share rentals". They have signed cooperation agreement of the first 10,000 pure electric cars, and will be delivered in this year.

In 2016, the sales of CHERY NEW ENERGY was 20,963 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 48.2% from 14,147 vehicles in 2015, ranking fifth among the nation's new energy vehicles, accounting for 6.4% of the overall market share. According to the plan, Chery is going to realize the goal of annual output of 200,000 vehicles. The new plant will lay a production foundation for the target.
