Chinese First Electric Vehicle Management and Evaluation Rules Issued
Shanghai, May 24th, ZXZC - Recently, Chinese Automotive Technology and Research Center released the EV-TEST management rules (2017 Edition) in the fifth International Electric Vehicles and Key Components Evaluation Seminar, this is the first Chinese EV-TEST (electric vehicle evaluation) rules.
The Deputy Director of Chinese Automotive Technology Research Center Wu Zhixin said that due to consumers’ experience on the comprehensive performance of electric vehicles come from various aspects, a test method which covers all performance evaluation cannot be established, so EV-TEST is only focused on the key performance, such as the five major fields: power consumption, battery life, charging, security and power.
The specific measures have considered that different types of electric vehicles have different target consumer groups and utilization scene differences, the EV-TEST evaluation will establish corresponding methods according to the vehicle types.
In addition, in terms of the charging, EV-TEST evaluation has more detailed segmentation and takes the AC charging compatibility, 100 kilometers charging time and immunity into consideration; in the aspect of DC charging, the evaluation also introduces standards. In terms of safety, water safety, electromagnetic protection, electromagnetic interference, waterproof and battery system are included. In the aspect of power, the evaluation system will have more detailed standard in the maximum speed and acceleration performance. The evaluation will be classified in accordance with the star classification, one-star to five-star, the higher star level represents better comprehensive performance. The evaluation results will be released in the second half of this year.
