Dongfeng Honda Sells more than 54,000 units in April with 40% Monthly Growth
SHANGHAI May 2nd, 2017 ZXZC – Benefited from the good performance of new vehicles, Dongfeng Honda has a total terminal sales volume of more than 140,000 units in Q1, 2017, with a year-on-year growth of 23%. Dongfeng Honda strengthens its competitive power in SUV market with the launching of UR-V. The good performance continues, with sales volume reaching 54,540 units and year-on-year growth achieving 35.3% in April. Besides, official data shows that wholesales volume for Dongfeng Honda reaches 61,278 units, increasing 28.2% with the same period of last year. Till the end of April, the total terminal sales volume and wholesales volume for Dongfeng Honda reach 195,881 units and 218,877 units this year, growing 26.1% and 39.3% year-on-year respectively.
Three models have monthly sales volume exceeding 10,000 units in April, with monthly sales of Civic, CR-V and XR-V reaching 12,602 units, 16,504 units and 19,714 units respectively. The three main force models will also lead Dongfeng Honda to challenge the 2017 annual sales target of 650,000 units.
The new generation CR-V made debut on Shanghai Auto Show previously, releasing its PHEV version at the same time. It’s said that the new CR-V will be launched in July this year, together with its PHEV model.
The new CR-V adopts new design while keeping the overall style of the current model. It has straight lines in body shape, with enlarging air-inlet grille. The newly designed 3-spoke steering wheel with LED screen equipped in panels will be adopted. The controlling panel will equip with Honda CONNECT intelligent navigation system, providing support for Iphone CarPlay and Android Auto.
The new CR-V will equip with 1.5T inline 4-cylinder turbocharged engines with the maximum power of 145 KW, matching with CVT gearboxes. Besides, the new model will equip with the 2.0L i-MMD hybrid system in Accord PHEV model.
