Dongfeng KIA Plans to Launch Seven models in 2017
ZXZC.com (Shanghai March 1st, 2017) – Dongfeng KIA proposed the 2017 management policy previously, containing of launching seven new models and achieving production and sales of 700,000 units. Su Nanyong, General Manager of Dongfeng KIA once said that, “Three of the seven models are exclusive for Chinese customers, showing our confidence and determination in deep working in Chinese market.”
Dongfeng KIA has a total sales volume of 650,000 units in 2016, growing 5.5% with the 616,000 units in 2015 but still lower than the 680,000 units’ target. Dongfeng KIA sets 700,000 units as the 2017 sales target, which is expected to have a 7.6% growth compared with 2016. Su Nanyong also said that, “China is the largest global auto market, owning great development space and opportunity. Dongfeng KIA has a bright future.”
Dongfeng KIA will launch seven new models including flagship SUV KX7, K2 Hatchback/Cross, New Forte, Facelift K4, K5 HEV and Horki E300. KX7, K1 and Horki E300 are specific models for Chinese market.
The new middle-and-large-size SUV KX7 made its debut in 2016 Guangzhou Auto Show. As KIA’s most high-end model, KX7 will be officially sold on March, 16th. The new vehicle uses a family-style tiger-nose front face, showing a steady image.
Dongfeng KIA KX7 has a simple interior decoration. The seats are packaged with leather. Back rows are equipped with air outlets and two charging interfaces, providing facility with ordinary use. The new model adopts 2+3+2 seat layout with panoramic sunroof.
