SHANGHAI February 7th, 2017 ZXZC – Beijing Hyundai has an accumulate sales of 1,140 thousand units in 2016, increased 7.5% year over year. In 2017, the automaker is to implement policies of "Increasing the supplyment,Strengthening the supplyment and Boosting the production and efficient", and is aimed to sell 1,250 thousand units cars this year. A plant in Chongqing of Beijing Hyundai is to be put into production in August. The first batch of cars to be produced are new VERNA and a small-sized SUV. After it starts operation, Beijing Hyundai will have an extra annual output of 300 thousand units.

In addition, Beijing Hyundai has also made a target named "Three, Four and Five". The number "three" includes to have three brand new products, SUVs count for more than 30%, new energy cars sales reach 3000 units and relevant services and quality performance like IQS,VDS, SSI and CSI keep in the top 3 of the industry. “Four” means to keep the position of NO.4 among joint-venture brands in 2017. And “Five” represents 2017 sales target of Beijing Hyundai, that is 1,250 thousand units.

Beijing Hyundai now has four SUVs, namely ix25, ix35, the brand new Tucson and Santa Fe, which covering the small-sized, compact and middle-sized market. SUVs of Beijing Hyundai in 2016 achieved a growth of 45.7% and 44.6% in production and sales respectively. In this case, Beijing Hyundai is to release more SUVs in the future. It will have a new small-sized SUV to be producted in its Chongqing plant expect for the list of ix35.
