SHANGHAI January 10th, 2017 ZXZC – Volvo has achieved good results in 2016 with its total sales of Chinese market reached 90,930 units, 11.5% increased comparing with the 81588 units in 2015, contributed by its rich products line. In 2017, Volvo will continue to have new products hit the market.

Volvo plans to introduce multi new models in China this year, including the brand new XC60, domestically made S90 with standard wheelbase, new XC90 and imported V90 Cross Country, etc. It’s sure for sales of Volvo to break 100 thousand units by the end of this year with such a powerful lineup.

Volvo 90 series have been updated last year, it’s the turn for 60 series this year. The new generation XC60 will have its world premiere on Geneva Auto Show this March, and be put into production formally in Volvo’s plants in Chengdu starting from the 4th quarter and then go on sales.

Volvo has had its newly developed Drive-E 2.0T turbo supercharged engine equipped in models like the brand new XC90, existing XC60 and so on. The new generation XC60 is expected to adopt the same power system with XC90, involving turbo charger, machinery + turbo twin charger, and is likely to have different versions of T4, T5 and T6.

The Domestically Made S90 with Standard Wheelbase

The Domestically Made S90 with Standard Wheelbase will be put into production in Daqing factory in 2017 and then go on sales. The car is also expected to export to other countries from Daqing factory.

The Domestically Made Volvo S90 T8----a 3-Seats Honorable Version with Long Wheelbase

In November 2016, Volvo released the S90 T5 made in China with long wheelbase and a 3-Seats Honorable Version of S90 T8 with Long Wheelbase, the new cars have 120mm longer for its wheelbases and the 3-Seats Honorable Version will hit the market within 2017.

Volvo New XC90

XC90 is Volvo’s flagship SUV which positioned in middle-large sized market. The new generation XC90 has three different version of power, namely T5, T6 and T8. It had a facelift in Dec. 12th of 2016 and will be updated again in the 3rd quarter of 2017. It will equipped with Drive-E 2.0T engines and providing three versions of power, T5, T6 and T8.

Volvo V90 Cross Country

Volvo V90 Cross Country will be imported to Chinese market in 2017. The V90 CC is expected to adopt the same power system with XC90, including T5, T6 and T8 three versions and will be equipped with 2.0T engines with different power.
