Dec sales: Geely Rises 101%, 6 Models Sells over 10,000

Shanghai, Jan 6th, 2017-ZXZC-On the evening of January 5th, Geely released the sales data of December and the whole year, which shows that Geely sold 108,230 vehicles in December 2016, a year-on-year increase of 101% and that the annual total sales reached 765,851 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 50%, exceeding the sales target of 700,000 vehicles.

In December, 6 models sold over 10,000 vehicles. They are New Emgrand, Emgrand GL, Yuanjing, Emgrand GS, Boyue and Yuanjing SUV. Among them, Emgrand GS, Boyue and Yuanjing SUV contributes 41,126 units, accounting for 38% of the total monthly sales. Total monthly sales of GC9, Boyue, Emgrand GS, Emgrand GL, four products of "Geely 3.0 ", reach 46,311 units, accounting for 43%.

Speaking of specific models, as for cars, sales of New Emgrand in December reaches 28,539 vehicles, and the annual total sales reaches 240,962 vehicles. Yuanjing sells 12,028 vehicles in December, dropping slightly compared with October and November, with an annual total sales of 137,687 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 31%. Emgrand GL sells 10,103 vehicles in December, and the cumulative sales reaches 30,037 vehicles since its launch. GC9 sells 5,609 vehicles in December, with an annual total sales of 51957 vehicles. The same as in November, GC9 is the only one whose monthly sales is below 10,000 vehicles among the 7 main models of Geely.

As for SUVs, compact SUV Emgrand GS sells 10,222 vehicles in December, with a cumulative sales of 60,521 vehicles since its launch in 2016 May. Boyue sales reaches 20,377 vehicles in December, a month-on-month increase of 10.7%, with a total annual sales of 109,080 vehicles. Yuanjing SUV sells 10,527 vehicles in December, total sales of 49,443 vehicles since its launch.

Geely performs very well with its cars and SUVs in 2016. Geely releases its 2017 sales target - 1 million vehicles, an increase of  of 31% compared with 2016. According to ZXZC Auto, Geely plans to add about 100 dealers in 2017, and launches a number of new models, such as Geely LYNK&CO 01 SUV, which will be officially launched in 2017. In addition, new small SUVs, modified models, and the first MPV concept vehicle will work together to enhance the overall competitiveness of Geely.
