Chery Holding sees monthly auto sales jump 30.1% YoY in July 2024

Shanghai (ZXZC)- Chery Holding Group ("Chery Holding") achieved remarkable sales figures in July, selling a total of 195,759 vehicles, representing a year-on-year jump of 30.1%.

Notably, the group exported 90,281 vehicles in the month, a 16.8% increase compared to the same period last year. Its sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs) surged to 45,370 units, marking an impressive year-on-year soar of 254.5%.

From January to July of this year, Chery Holding's cumulative sales reached 1,296,380 vehicles, leaping 45.4% year-on-year.

In addition to the robust growth in NEV sales, Chery Holding's oil-fueled vehicle sales in July also saw a significant rise. The group sold 150,389 oil-fueled vehicles, reflecting a 9.2% year-on-year increase. While exports grew by 16.8%, the group's domestic sales for July stood at 105,478 units, a notable 44.1% leap over a year earlier.

Breaking down the performance by major brands, in July, the CHERY brand sold 123,123 vehicles, achieving a year-on-year growth of 20.4%. From January to July, the brand's cumulative sales reached 829,890 units, up 38.3% year-on-year.

EXEED's July sales amounted to 14,443 vehicles, a 26% increase compared to the year-ago period. For the first seven months, the brand sold 68,890 vehicles, marking a 28.3% jump year-on-year.

The JETOUR brand experienced substantial growth in July, with sales reaching 41,106 vehicles, a 91.1% increase year-on-year. The brand's cumulative sales for the year totaled 264,661 units, up 97.7% year-on-year.

The iCAR brand, which put its first model onto the market about five months ago, recorded a sales volume of 6,065 units in July. The brand's cumulative sales for the year amounted to 31,651 units.

The group said it continues to uphold its flexible product development strategy of integrating fuel and electric power, catering to diverse countries, markets, and users with optimal solutions. In July alone, Chery Holding put several new models, including the Fulwin T10 long-range flagship plug-in hybrid electric SUV and the 2025 EXEED TXL, onto the market, and commenced pre-sales for the new Sterra ES and Tiggo 8L models.
