GAC Honda launches Vezel SUV
Sino-Japanese carmaker GAC Honda launched the latest version of its popular Vezel SUV on Wednesday.
The model, available in three variants, boasts a new design language, which the carmaker said is tailored for Generation Z, those people born in the late 1990s or early in the 21st century.
The new Vezel has two exterior colors. It measures 4,380 millimeters in length, 1,790 mm in width and 1,590 mm in height, with a 2,610-mm wheelbase. It is 52 mm longer and 18 mm wider than its predecessor. The new Vezel's ground clearance stands at 150 mm.
The model sports a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, which generates a maximum output of 91 kilowatts and a top torque of 145 Newton meters.
It sports the Honda CONNECT 3.0 system, which enables functions including control via the smartphone, a digital key and over the air updates.
GAC Honda has so far sold more than 1.1 million Vezels, one of the most popular SUV models in China. As Honda's global model, Vezel has seen its total deliveries hit 5 million units.
