Arcfox unveils EV model for new parents
BAIC Group's premium marque Arcfox has unveiled an electric model designed for families with newborns.
Among other things, the door on the second row will slide open when an image the model projects on the ground is stepped on.
When the door opens, the child safety seat will turn automatically to face the door, making it easier for the parents to make their newborn comfortably and safely sitting in the car.
The passenger seat in the first row can be folded down completely to facilitate the changing of diapers, and the car will automatically play soothing music when the baby grows impatient to starts to cry.
Electric vehicles are already a common choice for car buyers, and they are increasingly deciding on models based on the scenarios, said experts.
Statistics from the Ministry of Public Security show that there were already over 13 million electric cars and plug-in hybrids in China by the end of 2022.
Arcfox has several models in the market, including one in cooperation with Huawei. The carmaker has built a sales network of 186 dealerships in the country, and the figure is expected to reach 380 by 2025.
