Italian marque Alfa Romeo launched its Tonale SUV on Friday in Beijing. The model is available in two versions: the Sprint, priced from 298,800 yuan ($40,840), and the Veloce from 347,800 yuan ($47,533).
The Tonale sports a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which is exclusively available in China, and a nine-speed automatic transmission, generating a maximum output of 268 horsepower and a top torque of 430 Newton meters.
With six exterior colors to choose from, the vehicle features a stylish 12.3-inch fully digital display and a 10.25-inch touchscreen for an infotainment system specially developed for Chinese consumers, with input from local partners.
Other onboard highlights include wireless charging and Harman Kardon's 14-speaker sound system. The Tonale also offers Level 2 driving-assist functions.
Zhang Jun, general manager of Alfa Romeo China, said the Italian marque is committed to presenting its latest products to Chinese customers. Now a Stellantis brand, Alfa Romeo was established in 1910 in Milan, Italy.
