The all-new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Long Wheelbase hit the Chinese market on Thursday in Beijing with six variants at prices starting from 449,000 yuan ($63,210).

As the third generation of E-Class designed exclusively for Chinese customers with an extended wheelbase, the sedan is 15 millimeters longer compared to its predecessor, reaching a total of 3,094 mm.

The model comes as standard with the M254 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine and the ISG intelligent motor system. The engine has a maximum output of 190 kilowatts and a peak torque of 400 Newton meters, while the ISG motor provides an additional 17 kW and 200 Nm of power support.

The sedan is the first luxury model equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip, which doubles the computing power of the 8155 chip and ensures a smoother in-car experience and more stable data transmission.

The third-generation MBUX system supports an intelligent cockpit with the 14.4-inch central control screen and the 12.3-inch passenger screen, offering user-friendly features including voice assistant and in-car entertainment.

The model is equipped with a Level 2 plus driving-assist system, which is the first developed under the leadership of Mercedes-Benz's Chinese research and development team.

It also features a digital key using ultra-wide-band technology, which allows sharing with up to 16 people.

As the best-selling model in the Mercedes-Benz range, more than 16 million units of E-Class have been delivered globally.
