FAW Toyota rolls off first locally developed new AVALON car
Beijing (ZXZC)- On June 24, FAW Toyota's first independently developed new AVALON car rolled off the production line at its Chengdu plant.

Since initiating the AVALON project in 2019, the Chengdu plant has adhered to the principles of prioritizing customer needs and quality. This model update has broken conventional timelines, focusing on high-quality, mid-sized sedan standards to meet rapidly changing market demands.
The new AVALON features Toyota's latest fifth-generation hybrid system, offering improved power and fuel efficiency. Safety enhancements include standard TSS 3.0, PCS pre-collision safety system with pedestrian detection, DRCC (dynamic radar cruise control) with full-speed car following function, LDA (lane departure alert), LTA (lane tracing assist), RSA (road sign assist), EDSS (emergency driving stop system), and PDA (proactive driving assist), significantly elevating overall safety.
In terms of configuration, the new AVALON introduces two new exterior colors, a panoramic roof option, and a more luxurious front grille design. The vehicle also boasts a glass smart cockpit with a 12.3-inch central media screen and a 12-inch fully digital instrument panel, catering to diverse market demands. Additionally, it includes advanced driving assistance features such as PKSB (parking support brake), BSM (blind spot monitoring), and PVM (panoramic view monitoring system), greatly enhancing the driving experience.
