As the pioneering model of IM Motors for its next-generation smart cars, the entire IM L6’s entire series comes standard with a suite of futuristic technologies. These include SAIC Motor's innovative Lingxi Digital Chassis, an intelligent four-wheel steering system, ultra-long-distance high-precision LiDAR from RoboSense, the NIVIDIA Orin X chip, and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip, among others. These technologies not only achieve performance upgrades in multiple dimensions such as intelligent control, intelligent driving, and smart cabin but also, the IM L6 Max Light Year Edition debuts with the carmaker's first-generation solid-state battery (named “Light Year”), achieving a CLTC range of over 1,000 km.

Delving into specifics, the IM L6 rides on the Lingxi Digital Chassis, which, through the coordinated management of the vehicle's three-axis six degrees of freedom in movement, supports integrated adjustment and control of dynamic performance across all dimensions. This enhances the vehicle's driving and riding comfort under various road conditions. For instance, in parallel parking scenarios, thanks to the Lingxi Digital Chassis, the IM L6 can perform a "crab walk," thereby increasing parking efficiency. Moreover, on surfaces with unilateral residual snow or water accumulation, the IM L6 experiences about an 80% reduction in vehicle deviation.

In terms of intelligence, the IM L6 is equipped with IM Motors’ new-generation electronic and electrical architecture along with IMOS 3.0, and comes fully loaded with the NVIDIA OrinX and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 smart cabin chips, as well as integrating the high-performance NXP S32G chip. This establishes a strong foundation for a comprehensive upgrade in smart cabin and intelligent driving capabilities.

The latest IMOS system will achieve seamless integration with the IOS and Android ecosystems, providing wireless connectivity with mainstream Android-enabled smartphone brands. This will enable 99% of smartphones to seamlessly connect to the smart cabin. It allows users to freely create a super terminal system that encompasses people, vehicles, and homes, achieving true all-scenario ecosystem connectivity, said the carmaker.

In terms of power performance, the IM L6 will carry the company's self-developed "Hurricane Motor," boasting a maximum speed of 21,000 rpm, with the ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.74 seconds, and enabling a top speed of 268 km/h. Additionally, thanks to its quasi-900V high-voltage platform, the IM L6 can achieve a peak charging power of 400 kW, extending its range by 400 km in just 12 minutes.
