Beijing (ZXZC)- Recently, Mr. Ai Tiecheng the CEO of ONVO, the sub-brand of Chinese electric vehicle maker NIO, announced during a live session on NIO Radio that the energy consumption and performance data for the ONVO L60 will be revealed between June and August, with the vehicle set for market release and deliveries in September.

The L60, ONVO's first model, has already been showcased to the public. The vehicle is positioned as a family-oriented electric SUV, starting at 219,900 yuan.

Mr. Ai highlighted that the L60, a five-seater SUV, aims to meet the needs of most families. To cater to larger families, the second ONVO model will offer six and seven-seater configurations, boasting space comparable to MPVs, with camouflaged test vehicles expected to be seen on roads soon. Additionally, MPV and sedan models are in the pipeline, with preliminary work on the third model already underway.

Regarding ONVO's integration with NIO’s battery-swapping network, Mr. Ai stated that as more brands adopt the battery-swapping model, the stations will become more widespread, much like gas stations, eliminating any issues of priority. ONVO also plans to expand into smaller markets by setting up battery-swapping stations in county towns and opening them to franchise opportunities.

Mr. Ai also confirmed that the NIO phone will be compatible with ONVO vehicles.

The L60 and the ONVO brand were both unveiled on May 15, aiming to capture the sub-300,000-yuan market in tandem with NIO. The entire ONVO lineup is developed on NIO’s third-generation NT3.0 technology platform. Specifically, the L60 is built on a 900V silicon carbide platform, utilizing a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) leasing scheme, offering range options of 555 km, 730 km, and over 1,000 km.
