GWM’s monthly overseas sales hit new high in Apr. 2024
Beijing (ZXZC)- Great Wall Motor (GWM) announced on May 6 it sold a total of 94,796 new vehicles in April 2024.
In the first four months of this year, GWM's cumulative new vehicle sales summed up to 370,129 units, representing an 18.18% increase from a year ago.

Among the vehicles sold in the past month, 22,436 units were new energy vehicles, marking a substantial 50.94% hike year-on-year. GWM’s development of high-end products also yield notable results, with monthly sales of vehicles priced above 200,000 yuan soaring 98.18% year on year to 25,625 units in April.
In April, the company's overseas sales reached 36,141 new vehicles, representing a robust year-on-year spike of 65.68% and setting a new historical record. From January to April, GWM’s year-to-date export volume totaled 128,919 units, which zoomed up 74.71% from a year ago.
Breaking down GWM's Apr. sales by specific brands, the HAVAL brand sold 47,054 new vehicles in April and achieved a year-to-date volume of 204,943 units, which represented a year-on-year growth of 15.11%.

Meanwhile, WEY's new energy vehicle sales shot up 87.71% from a year ago to 4,458 units in April. In the first four months of this year, WEY sold 14,066 new energy vehicles in total, marking a 143.44% leap compared to the same period last year.

TANK sold 20,469 new vehicles last month, up 87.51% year over year. TANK’s cumulative sales volume reached 69,653 units in the Jan.-Apr. period, surging 98.30% from the previous year.

With 4,686 new vehicles sold in April, the ORA brand saw its year-to-date sales volume amount to 19,715 units. Over the next three years, ORA plans to expand its global product lineup from existing models to cover A0 to C segments, offering both sedan and SUV products for overseas markets.

In April, GWM Pickup sold 18,069 vehicles, totaling 61,564 units year-to-date. Additionally, the POER sold 14,231 new vehicles in April, marking a 10.55% year-on-year increase.
