With the launch of the ID. UX series, Volkswagen introduces a new intelligent electric vehicle category to its all-electric ID. family. The ID. UX models, characterized by high quality, safety, and a lifestyle-oriented design, will be developed and manufactured at Volkswagen's R&D and manufacturing facility in Hefei. These vehicles will feature a distinctive golden Volkswagen emblem, with the first model, the ID. UNYX, expected to hit the Chinese market later this year.

By 2030, Volkswagen aims to enrich its dedicated product lines for Chinese consumers with an expanded ID. family of 16 electric models, including 5 from the ID. UX category by 2027. As of 2030, at least 12 all-new oil-fueled models and six hybrid electric vehicle models will be launched.

Built on robust platforms like MQB and MEB, Volkswagen is enhancing its local capabilities through collaborations with domestic companies such as XPENG. Furthermore, Hefei-based Volkswagen China Technology Company (VCTC) is developing the Group's first electric platform specifically for China, the China Main Plattform (CMP), with at least four additional models for the electric entry-level segment set to be built on the CMP platform from 2026.
