In the final quarter of 2023, the M254 engine, powering this model, proudly marked the production of the joint venture’s 5-millionth engine. With this achievement, Beijing Benz officially enters a new era with both vehicle and engine cumulative production volume surpassing 5 million units.

In 2005, Mercedes-Benz produced its first China-made model code-named W211, the eighth-generation E-Class. Since then, the E-Class has repeatedly witnessed Beijing Benz's production milestones.

In 2016 and 2020, the domestically produced E-Class Long Wheelbase (10th-generation E-Class model), code-named V213, helped Beijing Benz achieve the milestones of one millionth and three millionth vehicles produced, respectively.

According to the automaker, the China-made E-Class Long Wheelbase lineup will introduce a plug-in hybrid electric version with a battery-powered range of over 100 kilometers, accelerating Beijing Benz's electrification transformation.

Currently, Beijing Benz has 11 locally-produced models, including the EQE SUV, EQE, EQA SUV, EQB SUV, the Mercedes-AMG A 35L 4MATIC, the A-Class Long Wheelbase sedan, C-Class Long Wheelbase sedan, E-Class Long Wheelbase, GLC SUV Long Wheelbase, as well as the GLB and GLA SUVs, with plans for introducing more new products in the future.
