Dongfeng Motor Corporation boasts 120% YoY soar in January 2024 sales
Beijing (ZXZC)- Dongfeng Motor Corporation marked an impressive start to the year with a total of 274,000 new vehicles sold in January 2024, registering a remarkable year-on-year soar of 120%.

The passenger car segment achieved monthly sales of 226,000 units last month, reflecting a robust surge of 121.7% from a year ago. Dongfeng Motor’s wholly-owned passenger car brands recorded a noteworthy year-on-year spike of 134.1% with 84,000 vehicles sold in the month, while the joint-venture passenger car brands posted a commendable 115.1% year-on-year growth in sales, totaling 143,000 units.
Delving into the specifics of the wholly-owned passenger car brands segment, Dongfeng AEOLUS witnessed sales of 17,020 new cars sold in January, demonstrating a significant 128.6% leap compared to the previous year. The recently launched Nammi 01 under the Dongfeng Nammi brand garnered 5,007 vehicles in its debut month on the market. VOYAH, the premium new energy brand of Dongfeng Motor delivered 7,041 vehicles in January, showcasing a year-on-year hike of 354.8%. At the same time, Dongfeng Forthing recorded January sales volume of 8,500 units, achieving a 51.8% year-on-year jump.
As to the joint ventures of Dongfeng Motor, Dongfeng Nissan achieved a monthly sales figure of 76,000 vehicles in January, with its newly introduced SUV, the Pathfinder, already receiving over 3,000 orders. Dongfeng Honda recorded January sales of 65,000 units, marking a year-on-year increase of 113.3%. Meanwhile, Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen sold 6,000 vehicles last month, representing a growth of 21.8% from a year ago.
In addition, Dongfeng Motor Corporation sold 48,000 commercial vehicles in the first month of this year, which soared 113.1% year on year.
